Holiday Magic: A Luxury Fairytale Wedding at Lotte New York Palace

Picture an iconic hotel that has been home to some incredible dignitaries and celebrities in the heart of New York City and you’ve got the Lotte New York Palace – one of our amazing member venues in the Big Apple. We wanted to pick the perfect spot to showcase our concept, our vision, our process, and the latest trends in creating the perfect fairytale wedding during Christmas in New York City.

This luxury hotel is stunning all year round but at Christmas, it is more impressive as it has one of the most beautiful Christmas trees in the city. A 35-foot tree all decked out and shining brightly in the iconic courtyard of the hotel located centrally on Madison Avenue minutes from some of the most well-known attractions like Central Park, Rockefeller Centre, and Radio City Music Hall.

Our concept was to create a lavish fairytale Christmas wedding extravaganza to provide inspiration for brides locally and globally as New York is such an incredible and popular destination for a dream wedding.

The fairytale starts with the dress and our model bride, Anastasia Parakhnevich who is in a beautiful dress designed by Galia Lahav provided by one of the best wedding dress Salons in the city, Bridal Reflections.

To complement this stunning dress, the bride was styled in jewelry, headpieces (like an amazing crown), and veils from the one and only, Bridal Styles Boutique who has an extensive range of gorgeous bridal accessories perfect for every style of the bride. Hair and make-up were arranged by the artists Namani at Namani Beauty and Dida from Salon Solis.

The characters in our fairytale Christmas wedding were of course our wonderful model bride and groom as well as models provided by Talent Agency, Cirque Central. They were dressed up as Radio City Rockettes to add that extra oomph of Christmas spirit and feels to the shoot.

And we simply couldn’t resist featuring an extra special act from Cirque Central, ‘Confetti Bubble Beauty’ which was a performer set inside a bubble, throwing confetti, near the bride to really add a unique, glam, and fun factor! This is a great addition for any wedding but especially now during more intimate outdoor weddings in times of Covid.

Our fairytale continued inside the Palace as the event designer, Eva Madeleina created a magical, enchanted garden-like atmosphere with flowers and greenery for our ceremony room, which was the perfect complement to our all-white, crystal dreamy palette. To complete the overall look, we rented clear Chiavari chairs with hunter green cushions from Glam Party Rental.

And you can’t have a party without a live band, so we were thrilled to have NYC’s most fashionable and chic Jazz duo, Acute Inflections at the shoot. Elasea Douglas, a former Broadway singer, and her bassist, Sadiki Pierre were the perfect choice to feature in our intimate and elegant ceremony setting.

In the current climate, we wanted to highlight the possibilities of being able to throw magical micro weddings where guests that cannot be at the wedding like close family members or loved ones, can tune in and watch the ceremonial activities. Our production team from Artvesta studio organized a projector so that the wedding couple could see their ‘distant’ guests tuning in and being part of their special day in a real ‘hybrid event’ fashion.

We wanted to showcase the most impressive spaces within The Palace such as the landmark Villard Mansion with its gold-drenched ceilings and marble columns as well as the grand Madison Ballroom. The vision was to be a luxuriously romantic fairytale created for a princess.

Blush, white and gold colors were used to create the romantic, luxury fairytale princess wedding feel.

Every little detail matched such as the blush crystal glasses, the gorgeous floral centerpieces, and beautifully selected gold crockery to the blush roses hanging from the chandeliers. The laser-cut menus and blush charges with gold edges matched the romantic, luxury wedding theme perfectly.

Gold sophisticated chairs with blush cushions around a mirrored table created a truly elegant look and feel fit for a royal couple.

We wanted to also include elegant spaces where guests could use for quiet conversations or take a break from the dance floor so we created a blush pink lounge area with a Tuscan Rose sofa and elegant canopy chair from Glam Party Rentals. The spaces were definitely transformed into those fit for any majestic fairytale bride.

And to add that special ‘touch’, calligrapher Joanne Day spent three hours designing a masterpiece Escort mirror table featuring the New York skyline and Christmas tree accents.

The gorgeous centerpiece of the reception was the dessert table featuring delicious cupcakes, sweet cookies, and stunning tiered wedding cake provided by Nicolle from ‘A Simple Cake’.

This fairytale wedding is definitely a feast for the senses!
