2. Hutong New York
Hutong brings refined Asian flair to Midtown, with beautifully appointed private rooms. One example room is Luilichang, about 246 ft², seating up to 16 at a long table or 45 standing reception.
Interior touches include ink-blue latticework and dragon’s blood orange accents. It’s high end, moody, and especially suited to smaller group dinners or cocktail receptions.

3. Zuma New York
If you’re after modular, high-style private dining, Zuma offers six private rooms that can flex and combine.
They host sit down dinners of up to 120 guests, or cocktail receptions up to 200. The rooms are designed with modern Japanese aesthetics, natural materials, strong lines, and big windows. Their teams can also run a sushi class, have a private chef, and support AV needs.

4. Maxwell Social
Maxwell isn’t a traditional restaurant, but it feels like you’ve stepped into a private townhouse designed for hosting. Their rooms, like the Garden Room that opens onto a patio in summer, work beautifully for intimate dinners where you want the vibe of a private club rather than a hotel or public dining space. Carton House is a design-led private space created by celebrated caterer and designer Peter Callahan. While it can host larger events, it’s equally suited to intimate, high-design dinners thanks to its flexible sub-rooms and residential feel. 6. Great Jones Distilling Co.
Great Jones Distilling Co. is a venue with a story and a mood: Manhattan’s first whiskey distillery since Prohibition.
